Job Description

  • Experience in making P & ID for utility systems such as steam, water, cooling tower, compressed air, industrial gases.
  • Is able to calculate pressure drop, pipeline sizing, flow meter sizing.
  • Is able to make gap analysis for existing utilities, should be able to compute utility generator sizes, take in to account utility consumption pattern.
  • Is able to make design basis reports, concept notes for various utility systems.
  • Experience in making specification and data sheets for utility equipment like centrifugal pumps, chillers, utility compressors.
  • Discussions with client and vendor for capacity finalization, design review, technical comparisons.
  • Working out budgetary costs for utility equipment, operating cost comparison.
  • Making technical bid analysis and technical recommendations for utility equipment.
  • Review of vendor drawings such as pump data sheets, general arrangement drawings vis a vis approved equipment lists, P & IDs.
  • Making mark-ups for utility equipment layout and getting the drawings made from CAD Designers. Checking drawings made by the CAD Designers.
